It was Church day, so went, thinking things would be groovy at Church today, heck I’d have been better staying at home. First, I get pulled over by one of Shaun’s Cub Scouts, on my way to Church, really Shaun? Then go in sit down front with the Smiths. The tension was so thick you could have cut it with a toothpick. Really? I gave up going to work for Swift Trucking for this? Then for as many weeks as this dOTerra thing has been going, kept getting signals that one who oiled my feet might be interested. The entire time the message was shed Shelly, since she’s dragging me down, go for another, and be done with it. Really? If I hadv’e shed Shelly, all I would have had to show for this years long nightmare of Wendell Idaho, of being blamed for crap I never did nor even thought of doing, income going lower each month and an investment into a radio gig, of just over $10,000.00 all would have been for not, the outcome would have been, one lonely Marine living on a Military pension, in a house I couldn’t afford in a town that’s drowning in its own conceit, and ignorance not too mention arrogance. So after I got home, after Church, did some praying, read scripture, watched some birds, prayed some more, and have nearly decided that my course of action, is remain yet another month, go over to Pocatello, find a place to plant my body, and get my butt moved. Granted Pocatello is in need as bad as Wendell is, but at least there can get my gig at Vision12 back, plus build the station of ours off the tower and all we have near American Falls.
Then got to thinking too, about the time of year it is, and all, and remember both Mark my Bishop in Evanston, and Dave one of my best friends, there in that Ward that said, there’s a great difference between the Church in Idaho and Utah and the Church Wards in Wyoming. Never figured that out until yesterday, as the Church members here are much more self rightious, and bigoted than anything in Evanston or even Ogden Utah. Both have their own buttheads, but they are fewer.
As far as the radio gig, starting the end of this week, I’m shutting it down, and taking everything off line and putting it all in storage, in anticipation of our move. Been near a year, and the only thing I got here was really high priced beer and all too many tears. See ya’ll on the air at 08:00 Monday morning.
